Default Boost problem

Well, last week i noticed that my car doesnt build boost like it used to, it spools slow and doesnt feel as fast. Car runs fine and i cant see any boost or exhaust leaks. I thinking its the turbo but i dont smoke and its not noisey so i dont know whats goin on! Ive been running 8 psi on my stock d15 ( tuned with wideband and chrome ) for a while now with no problems. I recently (about a month) made a new setup with a log mani but it ran great after that its only now acting up.
Oh by the way its 42/48 turbo (Garrett)
any ideas?

exhaust leak pre-turbo

are you running open DP that would prevent you from hearing a leak?

its got a full exhaust on it so its not loud, i dont hear any leaks and the turbos got play but i wouldnt say its excessive. the only thing i can think of is this time i used a cheap xs power mani gasket for the head instead of the steel one thats stock. but wouldnt that be noisey if it was leaking?

What kind of high temp paint was that anyways? I dont know how bad the level of "it doesent feel that fast anymore", but who knows maybe you got use to it. Could be all in your mind.

You make a very good point, i thinks just not the fast spool that makes me think that. Duplicolor engine enamel but with one coat, maybe more coats is required. im goin to order a new honda gasket for the head and try that.

I have been there. When your turbo setup is kinda new, everytime you step on the gas it blows you away. When you finally settle in your like, ---- this is slow, lol! Thats what you might be thinking. Time to boost a little more!

actually im running no cat. im hoping to fix it with something simple, cause im not throwing alot more money at that motor. My D16z6 is begging me to put it in...so im gonna get me some vitara's thursday, and order some tuner toys rods from my tax return. Then its a matter of bolting up my t3/t4 and boosting to 20 psi.
