Default boost problem

watsup well i had a sohc turbo setup and it blew up so i put a 94 ls in it a while ago and jus boosted it, everything is on now and i went to bring it to chris to put my 450cc injectors in cuz he had ordered them for me and hopefully tune it, but that didnt happen, my car is only runing like 1-2psi, and vaccum is at like 13-15 i went over all the ic piping and vacuum lines, and they are all good, so did chris, he said it might be my dsm bov, it might be stuck, i got the bov and crushed it, is it possible its crushed to much? and thats y its only running that much boost, also the kit i bought is the ss autochrome wastegate, and its real losse, you can spin it around on the flange with your hand, the hole wastegate, not jus the top where it comes apart to see the spring, the whole thing spins, so i think it can be that, if any1 delt with this let me know. thanx

Anything metal that will fit in there and keep the valve/diaphram closed. Try shimming the spring, some people use lids from snapple bottles.

ok so if i put something inside of the wastegate to block it off, will it still run the amount of psi its suposed to run since there is no spring?

No, the spring is what sets the amount of boost you are going to run. If you remove the spring and block the gate off it should spool 25psi+

So try shimming the spring you already have, making the spring stiffer (by shimming) will make the boost go up. How much? I dont know, start with something small like a bottle cap.
