Default Is this boost gauge still usable?

hey guys,
I've got an autometer boost gauge. The only problem is that the needle is sitting at 1-1.5 psi not hooked up. When I actually install it, will it give an accurate reading or will it be reading 1-1.5 psi higher?

just did this. Took me about 10 minutes. Most of it was thinking that maybe i could just use a strap wrench to get the crimp ring off. Turns out I had to mess up the back side completely and pry it open like a can. The front side is still undamaged though. very easy to do.

On a side note, use a 9/16 for the nut on the back of the boost guage.

That white plastic piece. I just moved both sides outwards from the hole. now it reads 0 psi!

Be carefull not to just bend the copper tube, thats why you need to disconnect the little plastic piece...if you mess up the tube it will read 0 but you may not get an accurate reading...you can test them with an air compressor to just turn it down to like 10psi and shoot some air into the guage
