boost gauge install

I am going to install a mechanical autometer boost gauge on my civic and am not sure how to hook it up. The power and ground are obvious but what part of the intake manifold do I T into to hook up the hose from the engine to the gauge. I have a 2000 civic with a single cam motor if that matters. Any picture of where to hook it up would be great too. Thanks

t into the brake booster line.....i believe it should be on the back of the i/m. pretty obvious if you follow the line from the brake booster

if you put the one end of the line and stick it into the exhaust pipe

Will the brake booster line be the most accurate source and will it read vac and boost? Oh and Dereriou$ I like your idea about sticking it into the exhaust pipe, I will do that right after I refill my blinker fluid.

If you do this, make SURE you tee off between the one-way valve and the intake manifold.

I was going to mention this as well.

I would imagine that the brake booster line on your cars is probably larger than ~1/8" ID so why bother using it to T in a boost gauge which has an even smaller source hose. At that point why not T in to the PCV hose instead as to not chance weakening a very important (possibly old?) brake booster hose by cutting into it.

^^very true thats why im a noob....sounds like fuel pressure reg is the best although my guess is that both hoses are of the same vintage
