boost controller

for some reason my DIY boot controller doesnt seem to be working as it should be

for some reason when you turn it counterclockwise it rases the boost

anyone????

i cleaned up my setup a little so i will show pics of the setup

but arnt you supposed to have one line going to intake manifold, bov, and wastegate??? is it alright that i T'd off a connection from the intake manifold to the FPR??? because i needed a line also for my FMU, so i used the same on....anyone have anything??? thanks

Re: boost controller

I'd run a solitary vac signal from the intake manifold (or turbo) to the MBC to the wastegate.

Make sure you got the MBC hooked up right. if its backwards, thats bad

A boost controller is made to increase boost

Re: boost controller

not really, a boost controller is meant to 'control' the boost- to either increase or decrease the boost

You have no idea what you are talking about. Shut up.

wrong, its only for increasing boost over the wastegate's spring pressure. NOOB

Re: boost controller

well thats funny, because my stock wastegate is set to around 13-14psi, yet i am running 5-7....HMMMMMMMM can you explain that one

Re: boost controller

Yeah you are retarded and have the wastegate partically open.

Re: boost controller

The sad thing is that you dont even understand how a waste gate works.

A wastegate opens when it reaches a certain psi. There's a spring in there that regulates this. If you have a boost controller, it decreases the pressure that the wastegate sees, thus opening the wastegate at a higher psi.

You are clueless as ----.

are you even sure about that? how do you know that your stock wastegate is set to 13-14 psi? what kinda turbo is it?

a better question is what stock turbo is gated at 13-14 psi?

you're a dumbass, you still running an FMU? boost controllers can only raise boost. the only way to lower it is to change the spring or lengthen the actuator
