boost causes problems?
 

Just boosted my 00 civic and have a few questions. First off my clutch is slipping and im looking for a new one, does anyone have preferences for clutches, heard act xtreme is the way to go, but is there anything else out there. Also looking to stiffen up my motor mounts, buddy of mine told me to buy inserts, does anyone know where to get a set? any help would be apperciated

F1 ebay clutch if you want to be cheapo and get a good clutch. I have their stage 3 and no problems yet.

Inserts or window weld works. again. if you're cheap use window weld. if your mom has the cash then use urethane inserts. My mom is broke as ---- plus I dont mooch off my parents like some guys on here so I used window weld.

Been rockin Window weld for a while now in all mounts and I have ridden in cars with Full on Poly mounts with only one being a "Solid mount" (a bolt stuck in it). IMO I think the window weld is for lack of a better description, a step down from the poly mounts. They are still stiff as hell but I dont vibrate nearly as bad as he does. his seem's to have a good rattle from idle up to like 1500 where as mine only does it at idle.

Dont know about others but i pay for everything, my car isnt mommys or daddys

So the window weld worlks better? I need my mounts to be stiff cause i got 2 nice size dents in my hood from the motor jumping

3m window weld ftw... Got mine at napa, use latex gloves or you'll be sorry...

Dont waste money on things you can do yourself, save the money for things you cant diy ;D

I cant really say the 3m is better but I can say it vibrates a little less. I can tell you my ---- aint movin like it was though.

If you dont care about sissy things like rattles then do what JD said about teh inserts and use 3m to seal them in. Didn't someone here do a write up one it?

yeah, just run a search there was a write up. And use gloves or youll be searching for that other thread about what to use to get ---- off your hands.

I've never noticed any apreciable vibration with the ES inserts, if there is any it's super minor.
