Default boost adjustment

ok so im cofused about how to adjust the boost on an internally wastegated turbo. i currently have a t3 from a chrysler and i think it might be set at 5psi or something, but i want to run around 8-10 psi. i am using a hf manifold and no external wastegate, and i want a method that will control the boost steadily. i know about mbc, but im not too sure how good they are to use, or if i can even use it. what are my options to upping the boost to around 8-10ish safely and reliably. i dont want to be driving and have it all the sudden shoot up to 15 or anything.

What you want is sometimes hard to attain with an internal waste gate. Manual boost controllers are basically a static setting, if you use a manual boost controller, and an internal wastegate, and you have boost creap (or spike as your referring to with a 5 psi jump like you discribed) it's because of the internal wastegate, not the manual boost controller (as I understand it)

However, all that said, I have no personal experience with an internal wastegate cuz I went with an external wastegate, and a manual boost controller cuz everyone told me an internal wastegate was a bad idea ;-)

Good luck! Ben

internal gates suck kids with palsey.

You can still use a MBC on them. It will work perfectly fine, reliably too. what you might notice is the boost dieing off in the high rpms....nothing to worry about, if you don't like it, get a external gate, or maybe try a EBC.

Boost creep is caused by a wastegate that can't flow enough.
