blue gray smoke
 

I've searched and it says big trouble. I just got my turbo back from rebuild. Installed it and whenever I give her a little gas, blue gray smoke comes out. Smells like oil. Could the bearings be shot already on the turbo?
what other things should i do to find out what is causing this?

The smoke could be the turbo breaking in. It could also be due to the fact that you have an FMU and an AFC pumping gas into the cylinders. Why exactly are you using both of these items when you should only be using one of them at a time? ???

sup dr boost-
well the thing is that i have 450 injectors on the side and i hadinstalled them-the car bogs out @3000 rpm creating no boost-so i went back to fmu and set all settings hi and lo to 0-i had them 2-4 across and that created alot of smoke so i moved them to 0-
that stopped the smoke until i accelerate
i am waiting for injector resistors-
one other thing i forgot to mention was i stripped oil drain plug so i remove oil pan to have it rethreaded-it sat there for a week on jacks with no oil pan and no oil-could that cause the oil to dry up in my engine???

found oil leaking to exhaust side of turbo-what the hell-i just got turbo rebuilt!!!

sounds like u need a bigger return line, u are most probably getting oil backed up in the turbo thus causing the oil burning. for a t3/t4 u will need no smaller than a -10 or 5/8" return line..........if that doesn't solve the problem u might have already blown the seals in the turbo but i think that should solve your problem

Yes, check out your oil return line, make sure it has no kinks or tight bends. It's bassically gravity fed, so it has to be able to flow freely.
If thats good, then it could also be your oil inlet pressure being too high. What size oil feed line do you have? And if it's that you could install a needle valve with a pressure guage and turn down the oil inlet pressure a bit so it's not blowing past the seals.

oil sending unit is stock so i dont think that is the problem-
i have 5/8 line-it does curve though not enough to effect it-i will try to change out

Oil sending unit? ??? What size oil feed line are you using?

Research the oil pressure at the inlet to the turbo's center section. I have seen elsewhere on this site that it is often necessary to add a restricting orifice in the oil supply line to lower oil pressure at the turbo. Otherwise the too high oil pressure blows oil past the turbo's seal into the compressor resulting in burned oil and blue smoke out the exhaust (particularly at high engine rpm -- when engine oil pressure will be highest.
