Default Blowthrough Turbo (56k no way)

Welp I'm new so I though I'd show my HMT. It's a 83 Rx7 witha rebuilt by me 91 BT block and turbo. Blowing through a Weber 45dcoe boost prepped by me. Running 3" turbo back exhaust. And my own MSD_DIS ignition. Running 7psi and it hauls bawls. No I don't run or need an intercooler. THanks to physics then the pressure drops across the chokes in the carb the air velocity increases and it pulls the fuel out of the float bowl. When this happens air temps drop about 50*f. In the winter I get Ice on my intake manifold. People with the same setup run as high as 12psi w/o an i/c. I will upgrade to one eventualy. I'm still deciding what to do... Havent dyno'd it yet but should be just over 200whp @ 7psi which should yeild mid to low 13 second passes on street tires.

im sure youve seen direct freaks 1st gen carbed setup. wait 200 whp? thats all? cmon, i can make that non turbo. turn up the boost. if you wanna go fuel injection, i have a megasquirt you can use. its setup for rotary and uses the missing tooth on the cas.

Alex is a buddie of mine. He's using a different engine than I am. He has a Cosmo 13b which has huge ports and his is street ported. Plus he has a big dollar car. When he was running blow through he put 370 to the wheels @17psi. He has a huge turbo and about $7,000 more than I have invested. Now that he's running a Haltech th put 490@17psi. The stock Series 5 13bt put about 150 rwhp, so I'm content for now. I'm still running the stock turbo, so I'll turn up the boost later. 200whp on a stock ported rotary is damn near impossible. Only 3 people have been known to do it. And there's no way any 4 boinger could do it with stock cams. And ITR and CTR cams don't coun't cause no stock rotary had port timing close to those cars. I wonder if a GSR could put 200 to the wheels with stock cams and n/a...

o its possible. ask kahren. he even took an s4 turbo engine, ran it non turboed, and got like 180 whp with the stock turbo intake manifold. with shitty tuning.

Kahren is one of the 3 to make 200 whp n/a. 180 is not 200... He did like 197 in his 6port with custom manifold and a crazy header and exhaust. That was a built engine. You can make great power n/a by clearanceing side seals to .001" Can't do that with a turbo or it'll last a week. I clearanced mine to .0025" Most turbo guys clearance them at .003" When I said 200whp is near impossible on stock ports I ment n/a. It takes a ---- load of work to get there. Trust me I've been doing the rotary thing fot over 10 years now. I built this engine myself. If I turn up the boost to 12 I should get 220-230 and that should be good for 12's... Plenty quick enough for now. I'm thinking about going air/water intercooler, just to be different. I know all the drawbacks, but I don't want to V mount and front mount air to air are causing FB guys heat issues blocking all the air for the radiator. Remember I have to have an oil cooler too so that allready blocks some flow to the rad.
