Default Blowing through Maf/Vaf?

I hate the way the VAF looks right at the end of my intake. Just wondering if it would work if I blew through it rather than pulling through it.

I would just leave it alone. If its not broke why fix it.

Thats a good reason

Do some fucken research! There were no conclusive answers for me to blow through my mafs on my z, so eventually after all the bullshit reading and discussion I gave it a shot and it seems to be fine. Mind you, its afer my ic. Its not near hot manifolds, and its only on ten psi.
You have read up on your mafs and decide whether hotter air is going to ---- with your afr's, as they were designed to suck in outside engine bay air. Not hot turbo charged air.

Also, will your mafs leak? I know some guys have to seal their mafs as they blow plastic caps off and leak.

I must work now. Read more!!

Does the VAF have a hinged flapper? If so, then I dount you can blow through it. I have read that one can adjust a screw to rough tune it, but I may be wrong.

Just leave it as is.You dont have to worry about it leaking if you move it to the pressurized pipes.

Don't do the screw mod to the VAF. Proven that it ***** with your AFRs. IE you won't run rich enough at full boost at higher RPMs.

I have seen other people do it as a blow through, however. I'd reccomend having a second VAF just incase something screws up. They all say they carry a second VAF with them.

But if your going to go through the hassle, why not squirt it an convert it away from the VAF? Plenty of research done for it now. Hell you can buy the completed kit (last I checked) Off Probetalk.

Trust me, I have an 89 (bulit in 1/88 an everythings differnt >,<) I've done quite abit of looking into it.
