blow through carburater home brew kit

ive got a K5 blazer and i recently swapped in a fresh 350 crate motor..... I've been wanting some more umph offroad but i aint much on super charges.... I knowthe basics of a FI turbo kit, but does anyone know what kind of carb set up I would need to use for a blow through turbo kit? jetting, metering, float change? thnx...

yes, i am wondering this too, but i will be doing it on a atv. Most people say just convert to fuel injction...but that seems kinda hard.

Actually its fuel injection is not that bad if you already know how to tune for fuel injection. All you need is some fab stills, a honda throttle body, Honda injectors and have some patience to put megasquirt together.

New school is horsepower, old school is gas converters... thats converting gas into noise, not power :P

Indeed, there's no reason whatsoever to build new motors with carburators these days, except the few following exceptions:
A. Racing class doesn't allow fuel injection.
B. You don't have a few bucks to spend on a fuel injection system.
C. You're a stupid redneck.

EFI makes more power, a wider powerband and you don't even have to get your hands smelly to change the fueling curves.
It even adapts to environmental changes, such as variable temperature and baromatic pressure. If everything is set right your fueling will be dead-on and not vary much from day to day.

well i apply to both b and c there..... ;D but, i was asking if anyone had any specs on the calibration of the carb..... not for someone to convert me to EFI..... your like mormans i swear..... jeez

Re:blow through carburater home brew kit

We just got done doing a carb'd 350 setup, we still need to tune it, but the SBC 283 used 72 (size) jets in front and rear, and I beleive the 350 is using 78-79 size jets now, tuning with a carb doesnt seem to difficult, its just a matter of swapping in the right size jet and boost referencing the fuel pump. Partial throttle tuning is a different story. :-\

I'll be doing a detailed write up of our small block 350 HMT setup

heres a few pics of the setup

If you want the exact mods needed for the blow through carb to function here is an excellent write up with pics for basic mods.
