hello every one, have patience with my noobisms.
but i have a hks blow off valve, and it has an adjusting screw on the top of it, what does it do when i tighten the screw, or lossen it.

oh, and i searched, couldn't find anything.

 

WHen you tighten it the spring inside gets more compressed, which makes it harder to open the valve. You have to tighten it more when you're running high levels of boost so the valve doesn't leak. I have a greddy type s and i have mine very tight because IMO it sounds the best. You'll hear compressor surge if you tighten it too much, then just back it out a little till it goes away.

it works the same way washers do, weighs down the spring more at higher levels of boost to prevent leakage
