Default block posting turbo?

i was reading about block posting under tech project. would it work well with turbo vehicle? i'm thinking of do that since i blew up my f22b1 last week. i just got a long block in my car today. right now i have a extra block and head. i'm thinking of doing that block posting and boost like 12 psi max on my f22b1 engine. do i even need to post the block if i boost 12 with the afc hack?

I wouldnt think you would with only 12psi. Id go for rods or pistons before I worried about the cylinder wall. But it is cheap and could help you in the long run. should be a fun project if you just want something to do.

Agreed. The pistons/rings and rods should be upgraded first.

People sleeve H/F-series becuase they can't run forged aluminum pistons with the FRM sleeves. Remember they are a closed deck motor so the sleeves are strong but leave no room to upgrade the pistons

Ugh....what a drag.

I would keep it stock. That package is going to run you a nice chunk of change. Ever consider a swap? j/k

yea, i am thinking of putting a H22 type S into my secound accord Dr. boost. i would do it if i can get the engine for cheap. if not, then i will boost my f22b1 that is in the car. my mission for now is to boost the H22 types S (10 psi if possible)just hope i get my engine this month.

Why can you not run forged pistons in those. I fail to see why the open or closed deckness of a motor would make any difference on whether your pistons are forged or not.

The older STi motors EJ20G's were closed deck and ran forged pistons. My Mazda B6T was closed deck with forgies. My 323GTR motor also closed deck with forged pistons.
