block heater in the way. HELP!

the only thing i need to do is install the manifold/turbo but when i went to put the assembly on, the compressor ?(side that has a pipe going to the intercooler) was hitting the block heater unit and the exh manifold wont sit flush.

the only thing i can think of is buying a plug to replace the block heater hole ? or are there thinner units ? cuz i do need it for -40 C here in canada

someone pls help me out

There other options for block heaters. You don't really need one, I've never used one on mine (They never worked) and we have some cold days in My part of Canada.

They make a swirl can, like a coolent overflow tank that plugs in, and the make oil dipsticks that heat also.

Anyways, what type of manifold are you using that puts the Comp. to the passenger side? What turbo also?

thanks for the replies!

i might buy an oil pan heater. the manifold is greddy, so is the turbo. i bought the frost plug from honda and finished the project yesterday.

i noticed at idle, the shaft isn't spinning. is this normal?

also, the inlet of the compressor has a film of oil. does this mean the turbo is shot ?

turbo may be shot
"bigger" turbos dont spin at idle
