big turbo on a 35mm wastegate
right now my setup is a 57 trim with a old school turbonetics deltagate and it holds 7 psi rock solid. Ive been wanting to throw a bigger turbo, like a t3 60-1, on my setup but im worried about boost starting to creep because i have a no name cast manifold with less then desirable wastegate placement
anybody have any experience or insight on this?

i have seen Tial 38mm gates on ste-ups with decent size turbos, People say run a nice size spring like a 1.0 bar. But that might be a lottt of boost on a stock motor.
i think what also causes boost creep is the position of the gate on the manifold.. some Ebay manifolds have the gate on one runner, the Inline Pro manifold has it centered

Most people don't get that it's LOW BOOST that is hard to control, not high boost. Once you max out the WG (no more additional exhaust can flow through it), that gas goes through the turbine and spools the turbo faster. That then creates more boost.
Here is how to see how bad it might be: Measure how far the spring allows the valve open, pull the WG spring (if possible with that old POS), then rig it to keep the valve 100%. Remove vac hose hose; vac may suck it shut, and boost may open it too far. Next go out for a few rippers in each gear, and see how much boost it makes. It will make almost none at lower RPM's, and creep near redline.
Given the 60-1 pushes like 15-25% more air, you'd multiply your 100%-open WG creep by that amount to get the rough minimum boost it can control with teh bigger turbo.
