Big TT B18A
Does anyone think that a TT B18A, using Garrett T4's is crazy ? And do you guys think i will have alot of trouble with the setup becuase of the huge turbos ? The car I have is a 90 Integra coupe. Let me know your opinions.
Thanks |
Re:Big TT B18A
IMO yes trying to spool one of those T4's on a b18 is hard enough, but trying to spool 2 might be nearly impossible.

Re:Big TT B18A
What if I raised the compression to 10.5:1, and had more internal work done ?

Re:Big TT B18A
try 20:1 ;)

Re:Big TT B18A
have you ever seen how big a t4 is?

Re:Big TT B18A
yeah, i was holding one in my hand and they are pretty hefty. My friend has two, one he is using to turbo his civic with a LS/VTEC and the other i dont know what he is doing with. So he asked me if i want it or if i could sell it some thats what im thinking about.

Re:Big TT B18A
well I think that you should use a smaller turbo and that t3. It would be like the 300ZX or 3000GT I think. You get the boost of the small turbo down low and when you get higher up in the powerband you get the more effiecent boost of the bigger turbo. I think this would make less heat than a smaller turbo. I think that you could have well over 20psi and still have really nice efficency (sp). Thats what I think.

Re:Big TT B18A
If you are going for a show car, and want big flashy turbos, go for 4 t4 one for each cylinder. If you really want the car to perform, forget about a t4, not even one t4, you need to use something smaller. Your friend is also crazy, that turbo is just too big.

Re:Big TT B18A
yahy, t3/t4 would be best. a T4 is HUGE. spool @ 5+ id bet

Re:Big TT B18A
i dont see why anyone would want a TT setup on a 1.8L motor... :-\
if i were gonna turbo a b18 i wouldnt go bigger than a 50trim compressor wheel... |
