Default Big Problems....

So I got a T3 off a volvo and the way the exhaust housing mounts to the manifold is weird. It isn't just your standard 4 bolt flange. The holes line up, but there is a bulge or circular center on the volvo that is recessed. So it needs like a gasket or something risen up to make it flush with everything else. Also, my manifold that was A/C compatible isn't looking A/C compatible. It drops the turbo pretty much straight down on the A/C compressor. I need to talk to anyone who has a T3 on there Civic or anyone who kept A/C on there Civic or heck anyone that has any good ideas or any idea at all or is named Joe :P. Seriously thought guys I NEED some help here!

If you can take a picture of the flange I'll tell you what I think your options are.

i dont see a problem there, go to the local dealer and order the proper gaskets for that turbo, it should fill that recess and be fine, if not, you may have to use a standard t3 gasket in there, and fabricate something out of thin steel to bring that recess back up level with the mating surface, it depends on if you have access to the right tools to fabricate something, and the ambition to do so....if not, find your self a different turbo...

I was planning on getting the turbo flange either shaved so it's even OR get a gasket somehow made for that. It's cast iron so that's another concern. Still the problem on A/C on our hands though.

A gasket will seal that up. That manifold does not look A/C compatible.

The flange from the mani doesn't totally fit over the turbo. A lil bit of the circle can be seen on both sides when the two are connected. Look close in the pics and you can see the white chalk line on the turbo flangd and thats where the manifold flange meets up with it. Any suggestions there? I know, I got owned on the manifold. Dude, told me it was a/c compatible on eGay.

Well we took the turbo apart a little bit ago and Dad is running the turbo out to get the flange shaved down flat and flush. Seems like our best option here. Also about the mani, I contacted the dude and he's selling it for his boss and his boss said it fit with a/c. He wants pics of the mani and turbo mounted and not fitting to get the money back. So.....screw that, we are just going to rid of a/c. I want to sell it on eGay. You guys SEE that over there?!?! I could sell my whole set-up for like $300!!! My Mom doesn't want me to sell it because it devalues the car and what not, but I'm going to have it for like 5 more years so.....why not sell it and buy turbo stuff? Otherwise I have to cap stuff and make sure the valves inside don't rust and stuff.
