BIG TO DO
ok this will be the fourth time i have rebuilt this turbo within a year t2/t28 the only thing i can tell that the turbo is over spooling i am rolling a 94' civic four dr ,d16z6 built t2/t28 turbo 42/60 trim stock internal wastegate that is set at 16 lbs. i am going to rebuild it, but needing to lower internal wastegate down to 10-12 psi
i know how to lower the internal wastegate but it is a pain to get to i have asked around on the for sale site for either another turbo or a external wastegate with no luck of course i would like to go t3 super 60 but cash is optional right now, the exhaust mani i hace is a d-series to a t25 flange cast metal, now heres the real question should i carve a hole out and use an external wastegate and destroy the value of the 400 dollar mani i bought and use the t2/t28 or make an adapter plate and go bigger losing the mani and the t2/y28 and start from scratch??????????? any info required |
Re:BIG TO DO
I think the problem is you are rebuilding it, that or the place that is doing it, isn't balancing it correctly. Start there.

Re:BIG TO DO
Sell your manifold and your turbo and get a cast iron T3 manifold and a T3 or T3/T4 turbo. Problem solved.
