Safer and easier than ABS pipe right? Think it will work for turbo to intercooler to intake ? |
Re: Better than ABS, eaiser than metal
If regular radiator hose will work, then of course that will.
I bet it's not cheap |
Re: Better than ABS, eaiser than metal

Nothing is better than ABS charge pipes, except ABS BOV flanges.

my ghetto charge pipe... (works great) Its 2" tank truck hose. I purchased it for $6 ft at local hose shop (Asheville Hose in NC) Its steel ribbed, or spiraled, and will not crush... very hard to bend... but works perfect.

Re: Better than ABS, eaiser than metal
Ive got it clamped right to the turbo, and it rests against the block at one point.. no problems. Works great.

Re: Better than ABS, eaiser than metal
ha ha thats so funny, I work for Castrol oils and we use those hose to pump oil to ships. They are expensive hoses because they can take over 200psi. They have two kinds one without coil spring and one with it. The one with coil spring inside is more expensive but they dont kink easy.

Re: Better than ABS, eaiser than metal
you can get that hose from any automotive parts store, just go into autozone and tell them you are looking for gas tank filler hose, that ---- is tough as hell , best way to cut it is with a chop saw or hack saw.
depending on the size its around 10 dollars a foot, if i remember right it comes in 6ft lengths. |

It works, but ABS/PVC is different sized than regular metal. That's 2 inch pipe, but the couplers are all 2.5 inch and the pipe is a little bit too small, but you can clamp the connectors down and they seal fine. I have a short peice of metal piping, about 6 inchs, right off the turbo, hopefully that will be enough to keep the ABS from shitting the bed. It's held up for a few days now... ;) |
