I want to know what the best type of wastegate is. Such as the ones that come on TD04h turbos or a seperate wastegate such as a Delta or the like.

go with a tial if your gonna buy a wastegate the 35mm is $200 and for that kinda price its a good wastegate.

if you want the best. buy the 60mm HKS , its like 700$

I got an external wastegate from an Audi it's 35mm if i'm not mistaken or it was 30mm

 

get an external, they are easier to adjust, more reliable and sexy, its a really important part of the system, if it jams shut you will over boost until something gives like you block.

 

Innovative's ---- is really nice, but very expensive.

 

If you all think that it is the best to have an external wastegate than I guess I can sacrifice simplicity and money for performance. I suppose I can try find a decent one on ebay.

 

It all depends on budget and practicallity.
I'm cheap, but I got the wastegate for "cheap"(free).
And I have a turbo without an internal wastegate.
If i bought a turbo with an internal wastegate I wouldn't look for an external one though unless the one on the turbo is faulty.
