best setup ever
dsm, and jdm users will find this useful
the evo big 16g spools like a 14b, but boost like a 16g, if you go to dsmtrader.com u find them cheap sometimes, they support 450hp when ported and clipped at a priscion angle sorry 4 the spelling, im horrible ;) |
Re:best setup ever
Correct me if I'm wrong here but porting is good, however clipping is bad as it simply ups your boost threshold AND increases your lag to gain a little extra flow from a turbine wheel that's too small...

Re:best setup ever
you are very correct, but in the high rpms, it makes a very big differance
|
Re:best setup ever
Yeah ive heard about it , its more of a top end mod. 450 horse?
|
Re:best setup ever
my friend chris has a 95 talon tsi with a 18g turbo on it pushing 345 hp to the wheels and its running outta steam , hes upgrading to a fp green 20 g monster.....soa big 16g would still fall short of the 18g i believe...

Re:best setup ever
then he has a cheap ass turbo
a 1g manual 14b with 450cc injectors handels 350 hp, hes got fuel cut from the restrictive honeycomb in the mas, tell him to hack it, damn good results |
Re:best setup ever
He can't spell but he is right, the MAS honey comb sucks serious ass, freed up A LOT of hidden power for a friends GSX by beating the ---- out of it. You can't destroy it to much, it's suppose to keep the airflow consistant throughout the airflow sensor. 14b's kick ass, ---- the T3 lol

Re:best setup ever
umm, i dunno about on 1st gens, but on 2nd gens you can just pull them out, not beat them out
|
Re:best setup ever
1g you can pull out, it gives you the ability to boost 2 more psi, it is restrictive. and you upgrade that piece of junk side mount, you got some power
