Is it bad to run with the actuator disconnected?
I have my turbo on the car, I have to go back to school and I dont want to let it build any boost. I know I can do this by unhooking the actuator from the wastegate. Is this bad for the turbo? Would it freewheel at a high rpm or what?
Everything seemed to go fine on the 3 hour drive. I kept on the highway most of the way doing about 70 - 75. I did get into the throttle a few times, you could surely hear the turbo spooling/whistling occasionally even with light gas.
I cant wait till its hooked up, I had difficulties this weekend but come friday I'll try to finish her up again.
