Default Bad new for me :(

Yep,

Today i went to a local shop to tune with a wideband my bitch and blow a ring.

So i really don't know what to do with this.

But i really don't know why it do this during the tunning.

Just to know, on my SMC + with 450cc injector and fuel pressure at 43 psi, i was at:

3000 rpm : - 45%
4000 rpm : - 46%
5000 rpm : - 46%
6000 rpm : - 43%

I thinks it's really low and maybe it for this.

there was your problem, 450cc * -46% = 243cc = 3psi above stock 240cc injectors right?? BUT try idleing your engine with -46% and it will stumble and be very rough, let alone using that setting at 4-5k rpm. That's while N/A, Hope you weren't using those settings with a turbo on.

i always thought the idea was too stay rich rather then lean on a turbo car, or any car for that matter.

leaning it out meaning to trim a little off, not lean as in beyond 14.7 afr. the guy who said it prolly saw 10.1 afr and told u to lean out to 11.1 where turbo makes their power, and you lean'd it out too much and blew.

i just pull up the head...

The 4 cylinder is scratch. So that's mean that he told me to lean it too much. So i don't know what to do.

1. Sell the turbo kit and buy a b18b N/A?
2. Buy another D16 and retry?

Thanks guys for your assistance.

did he tell you how far to lean it out??

if so, its partially his bad, for giving you bad advice,
but also a bit your bad for taking his bad advice(but then.. i'd probly have listened to the dyno guy also).

and YES, do not sell ur turbo, buy another d16 and tune it right this time.

You scared me cuz I was thinking about an smc+ just yesterday, and this is the first post I read today.
but sounds like its user error, not the smc that cuased the problem
