mine is a 12:1 and it only raises the fuel pressure about 10psi lol. although when we tuned, i tried taking it out and we had to max out the injectors and it was still lean. so it has to be in. even though it doesn't really work. so yes, i guess they can go bad. or not work properly. it would just suck if one of these days it just decides to start working again
