Default "backwards mounted" T25

is there any reason i cant mount my dsm T25 so that the compressor outlet is on the passengers side? it seems that if i did it this way, id be able to keep my AC. plus, ill my running a DSM SMIC, mounted on the passenger side, so charge piping wouldnt be an issue.

opinions? advice?

Not unheard of at all. In fact its probably more common than running it the other way. Check out the accord thread.

cool beans. i figured that since most of the aftermarket kits do it that way, then there's no reason i shouldnt be able to.

thats exactly what I told myself, if the aftermarket ones are doing, why cant I do it, so I did. I'm running a t25 with the compressor off the pass side, and it seemed about 100 timmes easier and more logical. I figured taht if I'm making my downpipe and intercooler pipes anyways, what is one more bend in my dp, NOTHING! The dp was SOOOO easy to make, the intercooler piping was easy, just took a little more time becase I had to make a bend around the dp, there is some pics here of my set up... https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...threadid=23397
youll have to get a drimel and sand down part of your radiator fan shrowding and fan blades, but it works.

cool! i noticed that you're running a different manifold than i will be (i have a hx or vx or whatever the one with an L on runner 4 is), so that may make for some differences seeing as your turbo sits off-center.

ill also be running a smic, so the charge pipe/down pipe issue wont be a problem
