Re:b20 crx turbo

Honestly, with a B20 running non-vtec I would say a T3/TO4E 60 Trim w/ .63ar would be just fine, Not that much lag, and good top end. Yes it is a bit on the large side, but later down the road you might want to put a vtec head on your b20.

btw, welcome to the site :)

thanks for the input i like top end so the size is perfect
about what rpm will it spool and where will it stop making power? ive heard vtec and turbo dont get along from what ive seen on this site ive heard wrong ive built a b20 vtec
bored the head to match the cylinders oversized the valves
the customer was ipressed with that turbo would be a whole new concept thanks

Re:b20 crx turbo

Honestly, I couldnt tell you What exact rpm you would be hitting full boost at, since I have never boosted a B20, and their can be alot of variants in each turbo setup, exhaust size, how the wastegate is setup etc etc. Blacksi has a smaller T3/T4 .57 trim on his B16a and it spools pretty fast, I am pretty sure you would get the same results with a slightly larger turbo.

The turbo itself will make more power than a stock B20 can even handle. People have hit 400hp with T3/T4's

Vtec-Turbo.. an easy fix is getting some cam gears to dial out the overlap, its pretty easy. And vtec really doesnt affect it in a bad way at all. I know lots of guys that keep vtec turbo's on the track, or daily driven.

hey thats the exact setup Im using, have you ran it at the track n/a? Your the first person I have seen with my same setup, and Im just curious what your running. I ran a 14.3 with a b20b, ls tranny, 90 ls ecu, no exhaust, no intake.

Dude, with a turbo on your B20, you will have more top end than you can handle! I believe (and seen) a b20 running 550cc injectors, 12 psi and an intercooler can tackle 400 hp easy along with over 270 ft-lbs of torque!! That's just awesome fun in a crx.
