b18b or ls/vtec. and either how do i make 400+ hp? what are your thought on this is it possible.? i want to do a nitrous car since i have done a couple of turbo d16 and am wanting to do some thing different i like the idea of a nitrous system beacause it is much lighter then a turbo kit/system but has the same amount of power potential.

first off nitrous sucks ass, and it will blow motors much quicker than boost, just wait for it to collect in one spot, just one time, and bye-bye motor, so forget the n2o. and making 400+ hp RELIABLY will not be easy, either way you need forged rods and pistons and a well built bottom end, ie: plastigauged bearings and such. it will be more reliable to have an LS head, but it will need aftermarket cams to make 400 whp, a stock b16/b18c head will do fine for 400 hp, but then you have gayness ls/vtec head gasket issues. your gonna need at least a good sized t3/t4 if not something bigger like an sc61 with lots of boost, and you will need PROFESSIONALLY TUNED managment, ie: an obd1 chipped ecu running crome or ectune then tune by someone who knows what they are doing. oh and your also going to need a good bit of suspention work and good tires to put that power down effectivley, as well as a meaty clutch, so all in all it wil lcost some serious bling to build what you want properly, and if you build a 400 hp nitrous motor it wont last more than a summer, so whats the point?

Weight savings is not a really good reason to switch to nitrous.

^^^^ this is true but i know lots of guys that just slap ---- together and have it turn out fine, but with a big build there would be no excuse for slaping a motor together, i have a hunch this guy doesnt have the flow to do a fully built b series with a real turbo set up anyway, hence wanting a nitrous set up, which is about as gay as aids.....

Cheap forged pistons/rods, a turbo capable of flowing 400 whp, injectors, Walbro 255, and a tune.

first of all boosted_b16 i have plenty of flow as you call it. why does everyone dislike n20 so much. alot of pro. drag cars use them and they do fine. isn't are cars performance basic on power to weight. a 400hp mustang has nothing on a 250hp bike.

They also have much less volatile big bore engines, engines specifically built for nitrous with really low compression, and in general have nothing to do with a Honduh streetcar.

To make 400 whp on nitrous you're going to need to make 225 whp on motor + the 175 shot. You will require racegas, you will require very competent tuning, and the setup will not last as long as a cheap piston/rod engine with a cheap T3/T04E and standard tuning.
