b16a2 turbo

hey guys i know this might get flammed, but i have tried the search. i am debating on weather or not to go with the greddy 18g turbo kit or to build my own. which one would you recommend? if i built my own i would use a garrett or turbonetics turbo. can anyone tell me the trim size i can go up to? i want to reach 300 whp on a daily driver. any help would work awesome. thanks

Greddy kit is a small turbo and you can build a better kit for the price. t3/t04e .57 or trim is a good choice.

Or trim? WTH is or trim? You mean A/R trim ;) The t3/to4e would be a decent sized turbo to run, just don't plan to run alot of boost with that 10:1 c/r.

What he is saying is that the turbo that comes in the greddy kit will not support 300 hp, and if you manage to get it out of it, you are waay beyond the reliable use of the turbo."
BTW A/R means "aspect ratio" and trim means the trim and angle of the "fins" on the compressor "fan". In a T3/T04E 57 trim T3 means a T3 exhaust housing (flange) with a T4 compressor. The compressor wheel is a .57 trim. Read up some and learn how turbos work and you will answer your own questionabout what turbo you want to use. There's alot more to it than "will it make 300HP"
