Default B16A what trim?

I'm sure you have heard this question a million times, but I can't seem to find a clear answer after searching around. Here's the deal...B16A2 with a itty bitty turbo on it and I want to move up to something that fits the motor better. What A/R should I use to be able to pull all the way to red line without totally killing spool time? The tiny little thing I'm using now runs out before I even get I to VTEC (5k RPM)..killer fast spool but I'm sure there is ALOT more potential for my setup...please help... Oh yeah...by the way, I may be able to get myself a used turbo from a 89 all wheel drive celica (CT26 I think?) anybody know how this one might work?

a CT26 would be good, so would a 14B (though most ppl would disagree), most will recommend a T3/T04E or a super 60 T3. You could also use an EVO 16g Tdo5H little bigger than a 14B, or T-28 in between a 14b and 16g.

I would recommend the ct26 or 14b very similar, run then ~7-10 psi. you will be happy, at least for a little while.

I would figure out what you want to do with the car first. I always find myself wanting a bigger turbo. You already want an upgrade so you better make the next choice a good one. The super 60 would be a good choice, but I guess it depends on what you want.

To put it simply, I am looking for a T3 flanged turbo that will spool up as quickly as possible without running out before I get to 8000 rpm. In other words, the smallest turbo I can use without running out up top. I really am looking for A/R numbers...the car is a daily driver...

t3 .60/.48 seems like a candidate.

I really wanted to try a CT26 on my b16, but couldnt find one for a good price. having driven on both a 60/48 and a 60/63 T3, The .48 will give pretty good spool up w/o taking too big dump on the top end. Your *** dyno will say it pulls to 8, but starts to taper a boneless from 8k on.

On a 3rd gear pull from down low, the 48 hit 8-10psi by 3700ish, and the .63 makes it by 4500-4700ish. My .63 is a bit tired though.
