B16a would be safer B20 could only handle 8psi 250-300 hp range

Re: b16a vs b20 crv

since its a jdm b16a, you should be able to push 500hp at 30psi!!! :o

seriously go with what Loserkidwac said.....although theres always the option of buying both and putn the b16 head on the b20 and have a b20vtec, but you would still want to build the b20 block before boosting high!! that ---- would scream!! stock b16s can handle quite a bit of boost, probably around 15psi, so youll be in the 300hp range as long as you have a good tune it should last.

Go with the B16, they are much stronger than the B20's.

Buy an LS. You'll hate not having torque with the b16. It'll be cheaper to just get a b16 head and then a ls block and do it that way. At least you'll have SOME torque.

If you buy an LS swap you will have a shitty tranny, shitty cylinder head, and shitty cams. He is planning on boosting, so torque really isn't that big of an issue, too much low end torque will just spin your wheels. Go with the B16 swap and then swap in an LS or GSR block later on. I would also upgrade the B16 cams to GSR or ITR as well.

If you want torque go get a RWD V8 car...

Haha, how is the ls a shitty tranny? Just because it has longer gear ratios? ::)

Did you not read the rest of my post where I told him to do an lsvtec? ::)

If you want torque, you want a fast car
