B16 turbo set up questions

I have a 2000 civic si with the usual bullshit bolt-ons.
I want to go turbo and have found a cheap combination using T3/T4 w/ .48 trim, Tial 35mm Wastegate, Greddy Type S BOV, and some sort of ebay intercooler. I already have a Apexi V-AFC. I want to run low boost (under 8 psi)
How many RPM until i would make boost? A friend of mine has a fully built LS and he is at full boost (9 psi on the street) at 4000 RPM. Also i am considering doing my own installation but i have questions about the oil lines and map sensors. Please give me any comments or suggestions.

If I have been paying attention to what everone else has told me around here...and to companies that I've talked to....I think It should start in around 3000 rpm. But don't quote me on that.

Sounds like you got everything pretty much planned out. The hardest part is deciding what Manifold you will be using, and if it will support ac or not.

The turbo should work just fine on your car, and pull all the way to redline. The turbo is more effiecent than you think, it can easily support in the 300 hp levels.

For management, you can use your afc with a larger set of injectors and be fine for 8psi.

Oil lines are very simple for the T3/T4 the inlet thread on the turbo and block are pretty much the same thing. 1/8th the block has a BSP fitting and the turbo is a NPT. You can buy these adapters with braided line at summit. Once you buy the turbo and get everything you will see what you need.
