Default b16 turbo

I was wondering how much stock b16 internals can take. I was planning on turboing my first generation stock b16 to about 8psi boost this summer. I was planning on chipping my pr3 for engine managment. One kid told me that the b16 rings suck after 6psi but i think its bs. Any help would be most appreciated.

as everone else will tell you it all depends on tuning and engine/fuel management, honda stock rings are good enough for more than 12 psi. research! research! research!

8psi is fine. Rings are just fine also. Im at 10psi and running strong. Fueling and timing are the big factors here.

its not as much about the psi as it is about the horsepower you make after the amount of boost. on a b16 you can pretty much only make 300 whp before it gives out.

Having said that, 300 hp in a 4g would be insanely fast...
