B16 + FI Success Stories?

B16 + FI Success Stories?
I am about to start piecing together a turbo kit for my first gen JDM B16 with 10.2:1 CR. I been doing a lot of reading/research on how not to blow my junk up.
It seems that there are a lot of stories about failures doing this on the B16s and not to many success stories. What type of success have people had going FI with the stock bottom end and the higher compression ratio?

As long as you have good fuel management and your ---- is tuned well you should be fine with 10.2:1 c/r. If it was me I would try lowering the compression a little bit though, to leave more room for tuning error. I'm not sure how much a thicker head gasket will lower your compression, but I would look into that.

as much as I hate to say this... go over to honda-tech. There are a lot of turbo b16's (and other, even higher compression motors) over there. I am sure some of them know what they're talking about. My impression so far is that this site is mostly comprised of b18a/b and d series owners. My understanding is that the compression doesn't really matter, it just makes it more finicky to tune. You should be able to do it with no problem at all, just as long as you do your research and know you stuff (which should really be the case with just about any turbo project). What car? what parts were you gonna use? what are your goals? Hopefully soon I will have a turbo b16 myself...

There are a lot of silly posts to dig through over there just to get to anything worthwhile. But I will take a look again. Thanks.

B16's are the same as B18's (only slower :P) in terms of reliability. Seriously its all in tuning. a 12.1 AFR, conservative timing and using your head when turning up the boost your motor will last forever

The car is a 89 CRX Si.
As far as parts, well that really up in the air for now. I was hoping to find a few suggestions. Especially on reliability of different turbos.
So far my tentative goals are increasing whp to a modest 200hp or with ~7 psi and still have a car that can be driven a couple times a week on pump gas.
I still really haven't seen much about successful FI on stock B16s. Anyone?

Re:B16 + FI Success Stories?
I don't really know, but I think it might make more power than that on 7 psi. I bet you can even make well over 250whp and still have a very safe daily driver (and for not much more $ than you would have to spend on the 7 psi set-up). As for turbo reliability, they're all pretty much the same. If you want to make sure it's reliable then get a water cooled one or a turbo timer. The reliability is really only dependent on the condition it is in when u get it. did you check these out?

turbo a B16 is like turboing any other car. Just make sure you tune it to 12:1 and make sure you have injectors that will make the power you are looking for. I wouldn't go anything more than 250whp on a stock B16 but there have been some uys that have hit 300whp. As a daily driver, I recommend staying below 250whp.
I have to go dyno mine again to see how well it does in the cold considering I have absolutely no traction on yokohamas.
