B16 60-1 Help Me Fast please
My friend has a B16 with a 60-1 only gets 5psi, with a 7 psi spring and 2 shims. the waste gate is a turbonetics evolution. there are 2 nipples one goes to the turbo and the other is supposed to goto the air filter? i think. should i just run a vac line from the intake to the waste gate. and what kind of boost should we see with 9.5:1 comp

Boost isnt dependant on compression, but rather a limitation of boost. Lower CR, more boost you can run. But that wont prevent boost. One nipple (the side) is hooked up to a vaccum/boost source. The top nipple is to be hooked up to a boost controller.

chances are, you have tapped the vac source for the wastegate before the intercooler, you have the remember that as you cool air you get a pressure drop, tap it off of the intake mani and see what happens

i tapped my turbonetics evolution wg in my upper charge pipe, welded a little nipple and it boost fast as ---- and u can hear that bitch open.... usin the 7psi spring and im gettin 7psi baby lol...

so you only used the one vac line. the other on that goes to the air filter? you did no use is this right..

get some plastic Ts' and tap off the pcv valve port and the charcoal emissions filter port on the intake manifold

LOL whats a 60-1....very big turbo. so does the nipple on the bottom of the wastegate go to the vac source? and do i have to have the other nipple hooked up? for it to work right?
