B.O.V. vent
i am in the middle of installing a turbo in my civic and i am using a 1g b.o.v. and i was wondering if i need to vent the bov into atmosphere or if i have to route it back into the intake pipe, and if i have to alter the MAP sensor?, i am almost done with the project, also wheres the cheapest place to get a set of 450cc dsm injectors? somebody let me know, thanks

Re:B.O.V. vent
Well, 1.- you don't need to vent the bov back to the intake. Most of us just dump to the atmosphere. 2.- what type of fuel management are you going with? You asked about 450's so I assume either the AFC "hack" or mod-ing your ecu.In that case you shouldn't need to modify your MAP sensor unless you plan on running more than 11 psi.
The cheapest place I've found to get 450's from is either the junkyard, here at HMT, or ebay. I got mine for $60 |
Re:B.O.V. vent
i am running a Vafc, and vortech FMU, at 8 psi, also i have a tdo4 turbo and i was wondering which ports on it are in and out for oil and in and out for coolant, thanks

Re:B.O.V. vent
Well if you run the hack with the vfac and 450's you don't need the fmu. You will bog the ---- out of your car. Thats why you have 450's. I would suggest mod your ecu. It will run a lot better but you need to tune it on a dyno to make sure you don't have lean or rich spot in your map so it runs perfect. Thats the best way and it's pretty cheap. as far as your turbo I don't know, I don't have that one.
