Autometer gauge or AFC?
So. Which would be more correct? My ------- autometer says I hit 13-15 pounds and ---- at full boost and sits right after the little square on the gauge (not all that accurate) and the highest my afc has ever said is .62 (9 lbs). Kinda freaks me out sometimes.

Re:Autometer gauge or AFC?
i've had kinda the same problem....my autometer boost gauge reads 9-10psi but my afc only reads like .33bar which is not 9 psi(.65bar or something). i just go by the boost gauge cuz i know i'm boosting more than .33 bar?! ???

Re:Autometer gauge or AFC?
yeah i know, i curious to know if its my afc thats messed up or maybe a wiring problem!?! i cant figure it but everything runs fine so i just go by my boost gauge not the afc..

Re:Autometer gauge or AFC?
i dont know about you guys but ive seen alot of boost gauges that were wildly inaccurate

Re:Autometer gauge or AFC?
Im hoping its just my gauge thats innacurate. I'm gonna pick up another one that more on target and see.

Re:Autometer gauge or AFC?
You can't tell the difference from 9 to 15psi? I wouldn't trust the AFC at all. :-\

Re:Autometer gauge or AFC?
As long as both units are properly installed... trust mechanical over electronic. Something tells me you should recheck all your connections.
Did you install everything yourself? Is your car properly setup to run 13-15psi? Unless your looking for a reason to rebuild your motor, always err on the side of caution |
