attn ABAZ...Let's see if we can f@ck up my new car!!!

Well, my EX experienced technical difficulties Wednesday, so I had to get a new(well, new to me) car today...my buddy at work has(had) a 91 Civic 4-door LX w/auto tranny...just like my other car, but a LX instead of an EX and silver instead of blue..ain't that some ----?? aaaanyways, it's got the d16b2 with the dual point injection...there's a write-up on the turbo projects page(Dan's 88 DX Crx), but it's kinda vague...he's running a TE04 with the boost turned down to 5.5 psi, I have a 14b, how would I go about turning the boost down...is the car being an automatic gonna be a problem??...and what about engine management?? that write up says NOTHING of engine management, other than he has a check valve, what is the purpose of this and should I do it as well...he's using an Audi frontmount, but I have 2 DSM smic's so I'll be using one of them...on that write up it says "some people say it's risky and others say it's impossible", referring to boostin' with the DPFI..does anyone(JEFF)know if this car is still running well or how long it continued to run good after being boosted?? what kind of gains might I see from this?...It seems the simplest route to go w/o having to swap to MPFI and from auto to manual tranny...some1 talk me into it....peaace

If it's just a winter beater and you want something simple and experiment....just slap an fmu some checkvavles adn turbo it and keep the auto tranny. If you want to do it right....do the mpfi swap get a Pm6 ecu '90-up and chip it and run turboedit. And oh yeah get rid of the auto tranny.

i would personally go the cheap route with this car.

semnos had a good suggestion with it.

turbo it, don't blow it up, have fun, sell it.

you def have to win an award for most ghetto setup, i think someone should start a new topic on most ghetto setup awards, but i like the fact that the car looks totally stock you will def surprise alot of peeps, not many people doing much with the old 4doors and i dont know why they are still nice cars.
