ATP Turbo's virtual exhaust.... found this interesting
I've been looking at this idea for a while. I like the idea of having my exhaust quiet during idle and normal driving especially when leaving a friends or comming home late at night.
Thought you guys might find this interesting too: http://www.atpturbo.com/root/releases/release091004.htm Anyways.... I think it would be better to make this come off a Y pipe opposed to the way they have it. Although maybe they didn't do that thinking or knowing that the normal exhaust pressure would open the butterly. Just found it interesting...something to consider for my setup that I'm planning. |

thats pretty cool, kinda expensive for just an actuator and a flap.

Re: ATP Turbo's virtual exhaust.... found this interesting
thats stupid. and a repost.
if its closed when you havent built boost, how is it going to help your spool time at all. just get a regular e-cutout and control it yourself. |

I've heard they get stuck after a while and don't work, I'd just get a regular cutout or run open downpipe >:D

The concept is really cool, even if this particular product sucks balls. I remember a magazine feature on a tunable exhaust like this a year ago or two. They plumbed the stuff into a bypass pipe across the muffler.
I personally would rock it if it was like built into a muffler, a muffler that would be straight through on full throttle but noise dampening otherwise. |
