Anyone turbo a 1988-89 Honda prelude?

hi,
a friend of mine donated an old prelude for me so that Ican try to resurrect it once again.
i want to turbo the old prelude 2.0SI, anyone done it before?
how much HP do you think I can get out of it?
does the prelude share any turbo parts with the Accord?

the b20 is an oddball motor no one makes parts for it and no parts swap over to it but don't let that stop you from turboing it

its a honda, that alone almost garuntee's its been done before, lol, just do some searching and im sure you'll find the info your lookin for

a buddy of mine back in oregon had a B20 swapped into an EG and went N/A and it was decently quick, would have been faster but if he did anything else to the motor he wouldnt have passed emissions

Just need to find a manifold and then everything is the same basic stuff as any other kit.Can you run a 88-91 Prelude off a PR4 or similar to use Turbo Edit?Worst case you can use a piggy back but turbo edit would be great.

I remember people saying the stock distributor was an oddball (not quite OBD-1, not quite OBD-0). I think most people end up doing an OBD-1 conversion, and use a different distributor.

Check out www.preludepower.com , they have directions on how to do it all.

88-91 ludes have the homosexual vaccum advance dizzys just like the accords. theres an assload of info about swapping a & b motors with vaccum advance dizzys to obd-1 on www.3geez.com

It's a b20a5. The b21a1 was in 90-91 'ludes.

i see. i just worked on one changing the hydrolic hose for the clutch because it was all leaking at the fittings. i figured they all had the b21a1, that engines a clusterfuck.

I have an 88 that I have fabbed a kit for although it has yet to be fully tuned. I am running 6-7psi on a nissan t25, dsm 450's, front mount, and chipped pr4 w/uberdata. No need to touch the distributor it's already compliant. You will of course have to purchase or fab an obd0-->obd1 conversion harness. Check out www.preludepower.com as was mentioned above. Do lots of searching and you will find the answers to your questions.
There is a company making manifolds as well.
