Default Anyone interested in cheap fuel injector seal kits?

(when I say cheap, I mean Honda cheap [high quality], not SSauto cheap) I was looking around for seals myself, not accetping paying $40 for four sets of Napa seals. Seals that have to be modified to fit in DSM and other injectors. I've put time into it, and it looks like what I bought will work. I have Viton rubber o-rings that are the exact same size as the torn ones I got on my 450s and 780's, Buna-N synthetic rubber lower seals that slip on perfect and slip into my Z6 manifold with slight force, and buna-N for the mid spacer (holds injector down).

Viton is some trademark rubber, excellect resistance to gasoline, oil, hydrocarbons, and also resistant to flattening over time (perminantly squishing, causing leaks). Buna-N is slightly cheaper and softer (nearly same resistance to gas/oil), which is better since it needs to seal a bigger area that's not pressurized very much (compaired to fuel rail o-rings), nor does it have fuel pushing on it constantly.

I need to test it with my DSM and Seimens Deka injectors first, just to be possitive. My Deka injectors (same shape as Accel's advertised pictures) use different seal heights than the DSM, but same diameters. I don't think I can do anything for sealing OEM Honda injectors - I think they use a smaller seal hole? (DSM's bottom are 5/8" almost exactly) BTW I'm thinking no more than $15 shipped to seal 4 injectors. Opinions?

I'll just stick with dremeled out honda seals. There free and I like the smell of burning rubber.

I know, I tend to keep typing tho... Just wondering what you all use. I can certainly see people reusing the stock seal and getting new o-rings for $6 bucks @Honda. In my case I was kinda against the wall with a dpfi setup and a mpfi conversion with a bare manifold.

Looked at honda's prices, $31.88 for 4 new seals and 4 new o-rings.

Why the hell do you buy ---- at the Dealership? Hell why buy new seals anyway? Just use the ones you got or hit up the junkyard. Thats just like one of those things I know I have laying on the floor in my garage along with enough ---- to put together a sohc. ---- new ----. Old seals+dremel/or round file+a couple of minutes=free DSM injectors.

Well I bit the bullet and put it all together. Seimen Deka 780cc's on a D16Z6 with an AEM fuel rail using uberdata. Idles perfect after simply scaling uberdata, and changing some fuel cells here and there.

I'll get pics up tomorrow. The o-rings require me to flatten their sides to fit in the OEM fuel rail holes, which gives the benifit of a larger seal area (the OEM o-rings were flat on the sides too). I think I can supply silicone to help with the tighter fits, if I can figure out how to package it. They seals definately aren't as easy to install as OEM, which are pretty loose. The benifit I can see is that a leak from high boost or high fuel pressure is next to impossible vs. OEM.

FYI:
OEM injectors are a bit taller than DSM's, but shorter than my Deka's. The DSM's need a seal thats 4.3mm taller, and my Deka's need a seal that's 8mm taller - that's in order to keep the fuel rail at the same height. Reusing OEM seals for DSM's would mean putting the pintles/nozzles closer to the valves and need the rail height changed. The Deka's don't work that way, since they would stick in very far and require the rail to be dropped a lot. Not saying you can't reuse them - people reuse headgaskets and headbolts all the time
