this question mainly is going out the the SOHC VTEC guys...

anyone running one? what are you running? impressions? idle? could you accually feel more power, etc....

well accually any DOHC guys running cams? i know most prefer the ITR setup...(if not ITR, same ?'s as above)

I was gonna get the crower stage 1 as well, but then I thought about it and decided to use the stock one.
Someone said it, and it made me think. The aftermarket cam basically just opens the valves either a little more than stock, or they open the valves for a longer duration, which is usually a very small amount. Instead of buying an aftermarket cam, just bump the boost one more pound, and you will easily increase the horsepower output higher than the cam will.
Aftermarket cams are good for N/A, but are not as noticeable on turbo cars, IMO.

good point but look at it like this, with that one extra psi plus the extra duration, more air in the cylinders, more power.

I also have the Gude stage 1, on my D15b7, it pulls nice NA but I am eager to see how it pulls when I put on my turbo in a few weeks.

I'll vouche for that. ;) I ran the same cam/head/motor and it gave a decent gain N/A. I'm not sure about boosted gains. I had it in before boost was added.

Hey hotrex what are you planning on redlining at? Im curious because I have a fully built bottom-end. :D Now im thinking about the head. Sorry for going off topic.

As far as the turbo cam goes for the single cam ive seen poeple acutually lose power inthe midrange area to gain about five inthe top end. This was a zexcamturbo cam i could be wrong. Really no gains till you about 14and up psi. Ive think if you use a n/a performer cam on a turbo car youll just blow boost out the exhaust valves. My two cent rant. ;D
