anyone ever turbo a ford 1.9L?
 

i recently bought a 1995 ford escort 1.9 (work car) but it's to slow (rated at 88hp 103ft-lbs at the crank from the factory)
im looking to throw on a t25 or 14g or somthing similar (that is pretty small at im only looking for about 120-140whp, from the current 50-60whp)

also im looking for the turbo,ic,bov,manny(tho i might just make a log),injectors,and some sort of tune

now if im not mistaking it has a map just like a honda so does that mean i could boost it up to 6-8psi without a tune? (would the map compensate for the small ammount of boost?, i know that is newb sounding question but a friend of mine is running arround in a d15 1992 civic and running 8psi and making like 175whp with no tune and a ching chong meow meow t3 (the entire ebay kit he bought was like $550, i is really cheap but to lazy to piece together a setup)

One of those engines you can flip a 4g63 manifold upside down and run a Mitsu turbo...You need to search some, there have been a few of those setups around...

i figured i could make a log cheaper than buying a 4g63t manny
but if someone has one for cheap i would be interested

i have a cast iron manifold that a 14b came off of. let me know if your interested.

beats my meat, like i said the thing was bolted to a 14b. so a 1g dsm awd manual turbo, you can search to make sure but wikipedia says 4G63T.

Mazda BP bolts right in place, the CVH engines were stout though. Excellent mileage.

Honestly I wouldn't ---- with it. I don't know what's with you and turbocharging economy engines.
