anyone ever hacked a supra SMIC?
 

i have a supra SMIC i wanted to use...but the one endtank has the outlet facing the opposite way as the other...i've heard of people hacking off one of the endtanks and flipping it around but cant find any info on it. are you just supposed to hack it and flip it and have someone tig weld it, or is there a special way to get the endtank off so you dont damage the core?

I thought the supra endtanks were plastic?

if it is all metal it might be an old greddy supra sidemount

yeah, it's all metal. i have a pic if you want to take a look at it...the guy i bought it from said it was a supra SMIC..it's a pretty big sidemount.. 3" thick core and i think its like 18x12 or somewhere along those lines. inlet/outlet are 2.5" thick...

I have a 88 supra intercooler?? is that what you are talking about?? It mounted perfectly on my 98 civic. and I even used the stock brackets. I didn't even have to take off the bumper to put it in place either.
