Anybody Ever boosted a D15b7?
Hey what's up? I have an extra D15b7, and was kicking around the idea of boosting it with stock internals, and boosting about 4-7 psi, just to give it some *****...
it's MPFI, and it has 16 valves, which i think is a good base to be boosted on, but from what i hear the rods are ***, and at high rpms, the blow through the block (when boosted)...i dunno, anybody every tried this?

Boosting a stock d15 is a great idea, especially if you are new to the turbo scene.. the motor can handle it.. Just give it some decent engine managment and you will be fine.. and if anything happens, it really isnt that big of a deal, since its just a stock dx motor, (dime a dozen) I boosted mine 11-12 at the track and we ran a 14.0 @ 103 with a completely slipping clutch.
