Any one have a H23a turbo set up here? ('93 Prelude)

My friend has a 93 prlude and I'm trying to convience him that paying $3500-$5000 is way too much to buy a prefab turbo kit, I figgured I could make one for $2000 or under, my civic was $1200. I looked around a bit, but not too many aftermarket parts for it like flanges to make manifold, crap like that. I'm sure there out there, I just don't feel like searching for him :. But has anyone here done it yet?

no but a few of us have some F22 setups comming together...F22 and H23 are basicly the same thing as far as turboing it goes.

i hear that the eclipse manifold and turbo will work. that is what i am in the process of piecing together for my h23 civic. although i can't figure out if there is a differnce between the 1st and 2nd gen manifolds i believe either will work. the t-25 maybe alittle to small for the h23a but some boost is better then none at all...

yah the DSM one definitly fits. just mounted my turbo today (F22 engine, but same manifold as H23). im pretty sure 1st and 2nd gen manifolds are the same bolt pattern but iv heard the 2nd gen mani is a little better flowing.

Just what he says. The H23 block is weak compared to the F22, but in worst case you could always do that hybrid F22/H23 build (as seen on H-T).

Yes the 2g exhaust pieces are cast thicker then the 1g pieces, and flow slightly better. If you can find a 1g manifold wihout cracks for a good price, then go for it.
