Have it done professionally. Some shops apparently do it for only 125$ with a 6 months warranty... 8)

Properly rebuilding a turbo involves replacing the bearings and the rings/clips within the turbo.
Just buying bllindly the notorious Ebay "rebuild kit" will leave you with a too loose or tight shaft since these kits include standard sized bearings and piston rings while you most likely need some from a wide variety of over or under sized ones.

machining the shaft and the center section is often required, as well as straightening and micropolishing the shaft and balancing the wheels separately and together as a rotating assembly, all of that requiring special equipments that are complex and expensive, as well as the training to use them properly.. If you have just the balancing done in a local turbo shop, the price of that service plus the price of useless ebay kit and the correct sized ones you had to purchase on top of that will end up more expensive than a complete professional rebuild service and still, since it's gonna be reassembled by you, the result is not gonna be warrantied.

That's how mine was done. Bought it Re-Built, Upgraded the Compressor so I took it to get balance, turned out the Re-Build was ----, everything had to be machined for oversized bearings.
