any body running 2" charge piping?

most people run 2 1/4 and if people say 2 1/2 is kind of big and that's only 1/4 bigger than 2 1/4, than 2" should be fine right? it just seems really small :-\

i run 2" charge pipes and i run 12psi all day i did have 2 1/4 before on the same setup and it seems like 2" actually makes boost faster dunno maybe its just me

cool, that's what i'm planning on running, and that's what i was thinking because it's less volume to fill, it just seems small and looks kind of funny :-\

2 inch is perfect for a d series, 2.25 is over kill and it takes longer too see the boost. With that said my charge pipes are 2.25. :-\

well your not turbo yet, soooo.....d-series turbo's piss on you :P my piping is 2" and then goes to like 2.5" right before the throttle body and i still get decent spool on my T3. no problems here...

no, i mean i seriously pissed on a a6 before, i should have taken a pic :P but yeah, i went ahead and ordered the two inch from jc whitney, i really would have liked to get them from custom coach, but the ones from jc whitney have more straight on them and are a hair cheaper :-\ as far as not being turbo, i will be on saturday ;D

i know your being money efficient but you have a very nice and clean si, dont mees it up by putting too many cheap ass parts. i want your car to look clean inside the motor also. hey, but whatever works for now...i know you will eventually get tired of it anyways...

yeah, the only cheap parts i'm using is the bov and an fmu, the fuel management will be the first thing i upgrade, then the bov ;) i just couldn't wait any longer for boost. besides, the big .48/.50 t3/t4 will make up for the 8 dollar bov ;D

Re:any body running 2" charge piping?

i run 2" from turbo to fmic and 2" from fmic to my 2.5" leftover cai as chargepipe to tb. works just fine. 11psi by 3k-3.5k all the way to 7.2k fuel cutoff. i could have gotten slightly quicker spool by using 2" all the way to the tb, but i was too lazy to cut the extra pipe and it just meant that i might fully spool 2-3 hundred rpm earlier...not much different and already have traction issues now.
