Another Turbo ZC

Yes I have searched lol...

Well, I am new to the boards, just wanting to introduce my self and my project. I currently have a blacktop ZC, rebuilt at 100,000kms.
Been debating between boosting and getting a b series for a while, well i was wandering through our local junkyard and ran across a mazda 626 GT, low and behold it had a turbo, so i figured, hey for 70 bucks you cant complain for the turbo and ic. Now, I was really interested in turbo about a month ago, so i spent about 3 weeks studying and researching turbos, fuel management, different setups, parts needed etc.

This is my current project setup.

- Rhb5 ihi VJ11 turbo
- IC from a mazda 626
- HF mani - ( need to buy this this weekend )
- Injectors - Probably will buy H22 330cc injectors or DSM injectors
- Oil lines - My friend works at a stainless steel braiding shop.
- Piping - Friend will do all the welding etc for this.
- Fuel management - Going to chip my PM6 ecu and run turboedit.
- 1g dsm bov - no need for flashy crap
- Downpipe for exhaust, going to weld onto the o2 housing.
- Various gauges.

Now, anything else i am missing you think, what else would be good to add. I plan on only boosting to stock wastegate, ( 8 psi or so ) I know its a small turbo but this will be fine for my application. Any tips or hints as to the mounting of things, anything to look out for warnings etc.. Anyone else have a similiar setup with a turboedit basemap i could look at.

Anyone else have a similiar setup with a turboedit basemap i could look at.

There are heaps of people running turboedit management including myself
I could send you a copy of my map but keep in mind its designed for

*dsm 450's
*running external at 5psi so thats about the only majour difference.

Also becuase its only a "basemap" its highly recommended that you get it tuned up, your vehicle will probably run sweet ...although its good to have peace of mind
Oh make shure that your oil return hose goes straight down / no bends
Just spend time reading and understanding the various turbo applications on here ,

Yup Ive spent about 3 solid weeks reading over about 30+ different builds, and about 20 different tuning guides, Im not just gonna jump into this. I already have a basemap made, Im just curious as to what it should look like roughly. I did i think a -.75 linear retard and 120% fuel increase.

I am in the process of turboing my DOHC ZC to (yours is DOHC right?). Your setup looks good... definetly try to get the DSM injectors. Shameless plug but I have an extra HF manifold for sale if you need it.

Re: Another Turbo ZC

Yup mines the blacktop dohc. Things are progressing nicely, im making a play by play with pictures as i colllect parts and such. Wherebouts u located, what u want for ur mani? Im in West coast canada.

This weekend.
1: Figure out lengths for SS oil lines, feed and return.
2: Figure out and diagram charge pipes for ic etc.
3: Find spot for intercooler and how to rearrange pipes
4: Paint IC black
5: Get steel for adaptor plate
6: Get boost gauge
7: Get manifold
8: Source injectors.
9: Fab adaptor plate.

During the week.
1: Get rom and chipping supplies.
2: Solder Zif socket in and test burn a few roms.
3: make basemap for ecu.

Next weekend
1: Line everything up in car
2: Weld charge pipes
3: Mount IC
4: Weld Downpipe
5: Finish up oil lines, and feed
