another rhb5 thread...

alright ive been searching about my turbo and so far ive come up short... i was told its from a mustang svo but thats all i can find out about it...on the exhaust housing it has numbers: 45t-1, 7h31, and 52 20-r 0

on the intake side it says....warner-ishi ihi turbo

so just looking for a lil info on it since it seems like the majority of rhb5 turbos listed are vf28 or from the probes etc...

IHI but then it's got a T3 exhaust housing. Not a bad turbo but not the greatest, but it just determines what your putting it on. I think they used those after the Garrett turbos that were used on the Thunderbirds and Mustangs. What's your plans for it. I wanna say it's around a 48/42 cause it's not a 48/60 or 63/60 like the Garrett units were. I always say, use it if you got it.

yea i definately plan on using it..it was a freebie.

its gonna be goin on a d16z6 with eagle rods and je pistons for the block and the head will be getting ferrea(idk spelling) exhaust valves and a 3 or 5 angle valve job.

most likely tuned with crome.

how should i go about setting up the coolant lines? that part seems to be a lil confusing to me...also i was told to search ebay for 'turbo oil line kt' they got the kit i believe the kid was talking about but the item description says it wont work for oil/water cooled turbos...is this jst because the kit doesnt include the coolant lines or its just not compatabile?

Dont even worry about hooking up the coolent lines, just use good oil and change it when your suppose to.
I've had this turbo for like 4 years now, no coolent lines. There cheap to replace if you have to, or just upgrade at that time.
I got 212whp/262wtq out of mine, I think I can squeeze a little more out of it.

---- coolant lines. That's just another thing to break and then ---- your ---- up. Not to mention more ---- in your engine bay to get in the way. Less is more dude. One less thing in your car is one less thing that can't break. :6
