I was always told vac in the crankcase was a good thing, promoted ring seal etc. But i'm no expert.

vacuum is always better than a vented setup. period.

Ok quick question

On the new b18b valve covers, the pcv valve is on the top of the cover, when i took the cover off, it seems that it dose not conect to the bottom of the block by any direct means, jsut the oil flow lines.. IMO its just like the little nipple on the valve cover, so i dont think it is going to vent my crank like i want it to...

What plug in the back of the block do i remove to insert my own nipple for a crank ventilation... This engine didnt come with the black charcole box atachment, so i dont know which plug to remove, and screw in a barbed fitting... a picture would be great, but a good expentaion would work to.. :(

My main question was about the noise... :P

I put the PCV back in last night and it's still making noise. Back to the drawing board... :1

My honda has always made that noise. Turboed, and not turboed. My brother-in-laws stock 92 teg makes the same noise. I wouldent even ---- with it. All I can come up with is that when you turn your car off and the motor is still spining, and its the air in your motor is leaking out.

i was searching for some pcv advice and stumbbled across this older thread. anyways, when i took all my emissions ---- off my car made that same noise and couldnt figure out why. then one day i found my idle screw from my throttle body just sitting in my engine bay. installed the fucker and that hissing noise after i turn my car off went away completly.

now i have no idea if this is whats going on with your cars or why the hell my idle screw fell out but its something you guys could check out.

Just do that. No more questions. If your looking for the absolute most efficient setup, this is it. Theres are plenty of ways to do it, some are bad for the motor, some are bad for the turbo, some are bad for the environment. I chose to protect my motor and turbo. The environment is fucked already anyways.
